About the role**.**
McCain Foods Florenceville Potato Plant is currently looking to add a permanent full-time Sanitation Operator to our day-based sanitation team. This position works on a rotating schedule of 4 days on (6:00am – 6:00pm), followed by 4 days off and every scheduled Sanitation day. This position reports to the Sanitation Lead Hand and is responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of our plant.
What you’ll be doing.
- Responsible for the completion of all documentation and system procedures for the Processing area.
- Comply with all safety standards and principles set forth by McCain Foods during employee orientation.
- Responsible to perform housekeeping duties and maintain and clean the work environment.
- Work on chemical systems, and receive appropriate allergy training.
- Actively participate in team meetings.
- Dealing with the day-to-day issues of operating in a fast-pasted, temperature controlled (to 10 C) environment.
What you’ll need to be successful.
- Grade 12 or GED required.
- Must be able to work shift schedules, including weekends.
- Knowledge of computer operations, particularly SAP is considered an asset.
- Must be mechanically inclined and able to withstand heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs unassisted).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be willing to cross train. Example: Cutter Deck/ Potato Receiving/ Batter.
- Ability to respond to unexpected circumstances calmly and responsibly.
- Willing to obtain WHMIS training and lift truck license as well as Scissor- Lift and Zoom Boom and other training or courses as required.

Compensation Package*: -* Starting at**22.24 CAD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
