About the role
Job purpose**:**
Comec is looking for individuals to man and operate an insulation warehouse for one of our clients. The position would be working hand in hand with the client daily, as well as working with them on other warehousing duties as needed. Duties would include sorting and organizing and logging the current stock and over stock that is currently on site. Kitting material for jobs, issue material for jobs.
The position is a 7 on and 7 off shift. Camp work, 80 hours per shift. OT eligible with approval.
Duties and responsibilities**:**
- Log, sort, and organize current insulation stock.
- Manage and operate the insulation warehouse in conjunction with the client needs.
- Material storage and procurement.
- Dailly issue of material to trade craft as needed.
- Material tracking and data entry as required.
- Working in the client’s warehouse system to record inventory changes.
Qualifications**:**
Qualifications include:
- Knowledge of Insulation materials and/or procurement experience
- Warehousing or procurement background.
- The client uses SAP on site. experience is an asset
- Good computer skills is a must.
- H2S, WHIMS, first aid, CSTS 2020, site orientations. Any specific training in regard to insulation, warehousing or SAP are an asset.
- Person characteristics/specifications:
- Forklift ticket will be required for this position.
- Be a motivated self-starter
- Able to work independently and solve day to day issues,
- Good communications skills- verbally and electronically
- Punctual.
- Multi-tasking and time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks

Working conditions**:**
- Able and willing to work long hours
- Able to repeatedly lift and load supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work in northern Alberta weather conditions if required.
Physical requirements**:**
Applicant should be able to work long hours at a computer if needed. Able to load and unload material up to 50lbs, work in all weather conditions,
- Ability to regularly handle and lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to pass a medical fit for work exam
- Ability to pass a pre-access Drug & Alcohol test
