Job Description
The inventory analyst, manage inventory items, control day-to-day inventory operations, and implement inventory control protocols. To be successful, the inventory analyst, must have a strong attention to detail and have an acute commercial awareness. The inventory analyst interprets and implements data on consumer trends and spending.
Role and responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the company's inventory situation by analyzing inventory statistics.
- Perform extensive research on a wide range of inventory-related reports such as Excess & obsolete report and taking action to improve the numbers.
- Direct buyers and stockroom workers.
- Perform regular inventory counts.
- Draft inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data.
- Report inventory statistics to management and suggest improvements to inventory control.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies between inventory and revenue.
- Create and maintain inventory databases and systems for accurately managing inventory.
- Create all long lead time items in ERP system as soon as the part list of new projects has been provided.
- Supplement BOM in ERP by adding additional information in parts such as part category, warehouse, manufacturer name & number etc.
- Validate BOM (per unit qty) during the new product introduction stage of a new project to ensure that qty of PUR parts is correct in ERP system.
- Support Product Line Manager, Supply chain team, and sales on the management of PUR parts.
- All other related tasks are considered part of the role and may be assigned as needed.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma/certificate required.
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar field.
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) is required,
- Familiarity with mechanical assemblies and electrical assemblies,
- Experience with LN is an asset.
- Master the French and English language (clients, colleague from the United States).
All other related tasks are considered part of the role and may be assigned as needed
