Role Description/Criteria Performing Arts Teacher (0.4 FTE) St Padre Pio Catholic Primary School - Opening 2026! St Padre Pio Catholic Primary School is seeking a creative and passionate Performing Arts Teacher (0.4 FTE) to join our vibrant school community. Starting date for the role will be the 27/1/2026. About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students to explore and express themselves through the Performing Arts. The successful applicant will deliver engaging and inclusive programs in music, drama and/or dance that nurture creativity, build skills, and celebrate student achievement, while supporting the Catholic ethos and values of our school. Our specialist program will most likely run across Tuesday / Wednesday or Wednesday / Thursday in our foundation year. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Performing Arts lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
- Foster creativity, self-expression, confidence, and a love of the performing arts in students.
- Organise and present student performances and showcases to celebrate learning across the school.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
- Contribute positively to the life of our school community.
Requirements
- Current VIT registration.
- Qualifications and/or experience in teaching Performing Arts (music, drama and/or dance).
- Strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum.
- Effective communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
