JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Mobile Apprentice**,** you will work in conjunction with other Tractor/Trailer Technicians and functional maintenance departments to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet. Diagnosing problems found during inspections and prescribing the correct remedial action in a timely and efficient manner are at the core of this role.
Qualifications:
- You are a registered Apprentice with the Provincial Training Board – Level 2 or 3.
- Passed the Apprenticeship entry exam.
- Graduation from a recognized certificate program (ex. Truck and Transport Technician, Heavy Duty Technician), and the desire to obtain your Journeyman's certificate will be key to your success in this position.
- Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers’ License.
- Effective time management and team focus.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing trailers is considered to be an asset.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Willingness to work outside in all temperatures.
- Experience using computers to enter work orders
- May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less.
Shift Schedules:
- Permanent, full-time position.
- Continental Night shift from 18:00-06:00.
