Role and Facility Information
The Fraser Health Authority (FHA), British Columbia's and Canada’s largest and fastest growing health authority, is seeking a qualified 1.0 FTE Pediatrician to join the medical staff at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital & Cancer Centre (ARHCC) providing urgent pediatric services.
This opportunity is designed to expand the existing community based pediatric practice at ARHCC. Applications from new graduates are welcome, and mentoring will be provided over two years to those applicants.
As a member of the Fraser Health medical staff, you will participate in the University of British Columbia (UBC) medical education program and are expected to apply for a clinical faculty appointment in the Division of Pediatrics, UBC.
The successful applicant will be expected to establish a practice in the area, and there is also the opportunity to participate in FHA subspeciality clinics. We work closely with surrounding hospitals, ensuring that children and youth living in the nearby areas have access to pediatric inpatient services. We have worked diligently to develop seamless local and provincial partnerships with the pediatric tertiary referral centre at BC Children’s Hospital and other local hospitals. Rapid population growth with family housing requires ongoing recruitment and service expansions to our program.
Provisional license is acceptable and supervision available for US board certified physicians.
Interested candidates may submit a letter of interest, a copy of your CV, and three reference letters or referee contact information by no later than November 1, 2025.
