What You Will Be Doing
- Monitor the implementation of environmental aspects of the project on a daily basis, under the direction of the Environmental Manager
- Ensure compliance with all project requirements including the project agreement, environmental assessment, and applicable environmental law
- Prepare reports summarizing environmental issues and deficiencies and associated corrective and preventative measures
- Maintain and update the compliance table monthly
- Liaise with the environmental team and construction contractor and attend meetings to provide updates to the client
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an Environmental or any other relevant discipline (environmental science, ecology, etc)
- Minimum 5 years of experience conducting environmental inspections, monitoring and compliance
- Experience with the MTO Construction Administration and Inspection Task Manual 2005
- Experience with major transit/infrastructure projects in Ontario
- Knowledge of methods, approaches and best management practices related to environmental inspections and ESC inspections
- Ability to work effectively in high demand, fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide strong leadership managing a multi-discipline team
