Position Overview

The Retail Account Manager is responsible for tasks including building and maintaining customer relationships, growing company revenue, generating sales from new and existing customers. We are looking for a highly organized, pro-active, self starter, growth hungry and sales driven individual. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to grow within a fast-paced B2B distribution environment and loves to chase new opportunities and relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the single point of contact with a variety of medium to large customers. Experience in the hardware and safety marketplace is considered an asset

  • Maintain, grow and nurture existing/new business relationships with key players in the retail safety marketplace. Growth driven mindset.

  • A deep understanding of your customers business goals and challenges. Resulting in tailored solutions for win/win scenarios and mutual business success.

  • Ability to build, maintain and deliver a sales plan and budget. Effectively managing the customer journey through the sales process. Ability to prioritize and organize your time based on size of the prize and desired results.

  • Monitor and analyze category and sku performance. Use data, information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits. Coordinate internal follow-ups with supply chain, customer service, and product management to ensure seamless execution on behalf of retail customers.

  • Maintain CRM data and tracking of key account activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or related field.

  • 3 years of experience in a managing Accounts.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint;

  • Experience in retailer systems. Retail Link, HD Supplier Hub, SPS Commerce, CTC etc

  • Excellent presentation, communication and time management skills.

  • Strong strategic thinker with an eagerness to learn and solve problems.

  • Effective negotiation skills and contract experience.

  • Collaborative team player with an eagerness to learn and grow.
