The Role Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for accurately processes payment runs and invoices in a timely manner and supports all department functions as requested.

What You Will Do

  • Complete weekly payment runs by cheque, EFT, wires, bank transfers, online banking payments & others, including coordination of signatures and payment distribution.
  • Coordinating payments from approximately 90 bank accounts on behalf of legal entities, joint ventures and all FCR properties
  • Responsible for completing all AP month-end close processes
  • Manage realty tax payment invoice processing according to expected deadlines
  • Review Accounts Payable aged listings to assist in managing payables over 30 days
  • Manage and investigate stale dated cheques, voids and stop payments with the bank
  • Gain full understanding and assist in invoice processing: PO with holdback and NonPo; automated and manual invoices
  • Support FCR departments and vendors regarding payment queries, including Treasury and Corporate Accounting
  • Support departmental initiatives as required, including process documentation

What You Bring

  • An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills is required.
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in business, accounting, finance or related field as an asset.
  • 3+ years experience in Accounts Payable Payment Processing (preferably in Real Estate environment with multiple legal entity structures)

What You Need To Be Successful

  • Experience with processing invoices using OCR technology and AP Automation
  • JD Edwards Payables processing experience
  • Manages multiple priorities with deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of GST, HST, QST
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Team oriented and collaborative
