Purpose of the role Under the supervision of the Team Lead, Applications and IT Continuous Improvement, the incumbent supports and ensures the proper functioning of technological solutions. The candidate contributes to problem resolution, functional analysis, documentation writing, and the maintenance of these solutions. The candidate must be versatile, open-minded, and able to adapt in a fast-changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and master systems and their integrations, databases, and the entire La Vie en Rose application ecosystem;
• Take ownership of reported incidents, analyze them, and escalate when required (external vendors, Development, BI Specialist);
• Identify underlying issues (recurring incidents with a root-cause solution);
• Document recurring system incidents and, when needed, transfer them to the appropriate resources to identify solutions;
• Perform system monitoring and oversight of systems, logs, and alerts;
• Interpret SQL programs and read integration files (XML and others);
• Work with developers and external partners to identify solutions requiring development;
• Participate in improving, correcting, and testing integrations between La Vie en Rose systems and various technological solutions, including in-house systems;
• Collaborate with users and external vendors on the implementation, support, and maintenance of technological solutions and integrations;
• Ensure regular communication with internal users regarding incident resolution progress;
• Create and execute SQL queries to analyze data, extract information, and perform corrections;
• Participate in application and solution upgrades with various stakeholders;
• Write and maintain technical documentation for systems and their integrations;
• Participate in data archiving and various migrations;
• Update delivery notes and share relevant information with stakeholders;
• Provide after-hours support on a rotating basis with other team members.

Your Profile

• Technical expertise & integrations: You understand and master systems, their integrations, databases, and complex application ecosystems.
• Incident analysis & resolution: You identify the root causes of incidents and propose long-term solutions, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.
• Rigor and documentation: You document recurring incidents, maintain clear technical documentation, and ensure follow-up on fixes and updates.
• Collaboration & communication: You work closely with developers, vendors, and users, maintaining clear and proactive communication.

Requirements

• College or university degree in Information Technology or a related field;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an application-level technological solutions and integrations environment;
• Knowledge of the retail industry (an asset);
• Strong analytical skills related to application functionality and system integrations;
• Understanding of business processes;
• Functional bilingualism, both spoken and written, in English and French (the role involves working with English-speaking vendors);
• Knowledge of database programming languages (SQL Server or other);
• Experience with various integrated technological solutions (an asset);
• Ability to conduct research related to technological solutions and the issues arising from them;
• Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and new technologies;
• Strong priority management skills, ability to work under pressure, and manage stress in a fast-paced retail environment.
