The growing success of our company is owed to our commitment to our people, our emphasis on our values, and our innovative technology. Passion is put into what we do every day.

Purpose of the Role:

We’re looking for a committed and detail-oriented individual to join Svante in the role of Machine Design Associate. In this position, you’ll support cross-functional teams responsible for designing key components of our machines—including structure, sealing, and powertrain systems. Your contributions will include preparing 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and documentation to support project timelines and deliverables.

This is a temporary 4-month position, with the potential to become permanent based on performance. If you're passionate about mechanical design and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • You have a diploma from an accredited technical college (in drafting, CAD, or mechanical) or a degree from an accredited university (in engineering).

  • You bring 5–8 years of experience in a manufacturing or product development environment.

  • You’ve worked with Creo Parametric Software for 2–3 years and are confident in its application.

  • You’re experienced with PDM/PLM systems, having used them for 2–3 years.

  • You demonstrate strong knowledge of mechanical and structural design, along with drafting best practices.

  • You understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) effectively.

  • You’re familiar with common manufacturing processes such as machining and welding.

  • You apply proven problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve technical challenges.

  • You naturally align with Svante’s values and are committed to our goals and objectives.

  • You’re expected to be in the office at least 4 out of 5 days per week to collaborate effectively with the team.

What Success looks like in this role:

  • You will be responsible for creating 3D CAD models, detailed design drawings, and associated documentation.

  • You collaborate actively with multiple Svante functional teams to refine and finalize design details.

  • You contribute by assisting team members in the implementation of design deliverables.

  • You ensure data integrity by adhering to Svante’s CAD Data Management and PLM standards.

WHAT WE DO

We make filters and rotary contactor machines that capture and remove CO2, a greenhouse gas, from industrial emissions and the air. Our proven carbon capture technology is based on unique solid adsorbents — and it’s scalable, eco-friendly, and commercially available today.

OUR UNIQUE APPROACH TO CARBON CAPTURE

Based on environmentally friendly solid sorbent technology, our carbon capture and removal solutions offer companies in heavy emitting, hard-to-decarbonize industries a commercially viable way to capture and remove CO2 emissions. The CO2 we capture is concentrated to pipeline-grade purity, which can be safely transported and stored underground or used to make other products.
