What You’ll Do:
- Lead a team of developers, manage priorities, and drive the successful delivery of high-impact projects.
- Lead and mentor the development team, ensuring they grow and work toward project goals.
- Work with technical teams and IT leadership to choose technologies and design scalable systems. Stay on top of the latest industry developments including a mandate to assess AI tools/solutions for our solutions as well as for team productivity.
- Oversee the software development process, ensuring quality, security, and efficiency. Set and enforce best practices, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.
- Review code and provide technical guidance to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions. Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and keep development on schedule. Improve documentation, onboarding, and developer workflows to enhance team efficiency and reduce technical debt.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability and security best practices
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and CI / CD workflows
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills
This is a full-time hybrid position (2 days in office) working 40 hours per week based on business needs between regular office hours Monday – Saturday (8 AM - 5 PM). Our downtown Toronto clinic is conveniently located at 150 York St., which is nearby St. Andrew station or a 10-minute walk from Union Station!
