About the Role:
As a Laundry Worker, you play an essential part in keeping our healthcare environment safe, clean and comfortable for our residents. You will work to ensure linens are cleaned, handled and distributed with care and efficiency.
What you will be doing:
- Collecting, soring, washing, drying and folding laundry
- Operating commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Following infection control and workplace safety guidelines
- Delivering clean items to designated units and departments
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
What you're great at:
- Working independently and staying organized
- Paying attention to detail and taking pride in your work
- Meeting physical demands (lifting, standing, repetitive movements)
- Following procedures and safety standards
- Being reliable and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
What we're looking for:
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, or related experience is an asset
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing quality service in a healthcare setting
- Fexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekend and holidays
