Payroll & HR Assistant Job Description Location: In-person at 25 British Columbia Road, Toronto, Ontario
Employment Type: Full-time and Contract – one year
About The Role We’re looking for a detail-oriented and organized Payroll and HR Assistant to join our team! In this role, you’ll support day-to-day payroll processing and HR administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth employee experience. Key Responsibilities
Assist with accurate and timely payroll processing – verifying and reconciling employee timesheets, etc
Maintain employee records and ensure HR data is current and accurate
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, HR policies, and employment verification or letter requests
Support staffing and recruitment logistics, including posting job openings on various platforms
Assist with compliance reporting, audits, and documentation
Contribute to ongoing HR and payroll projects and provide general administrative support
Perform other related duties as assigned by management
What We’re Looking For Previous experience in payroll, HR, or a related administrative role is an asset
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., Ceridian Dayforce and Powepay) is an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
A team player who’s eager to learn and grow
Nice To Have Knowledge of labor laws and payroll regulations
