You as an Assistant Manager, People & Culture (HR) will:
- Manage, influence and support the full employee lifecycle of our EllisDon Facilities Services Team including employee relations issues, recruitment & selection, performance management, compensation reviews, terminations, training & development, and workplace investigations.
- Work alongside site level leadership in creating a great employee experience for their Team. In this role, you will be expected to immerse yourself in the world of Facilities Maintenance, being on site with our diverse Teams a minimum of two days per week for GTA sites and travelling within Canada 2-3 times per year to our sites across the country.
- Maintain employee data and digital employee files within our HRIS with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality (Ex. Salary changes, resignations, leaves of absence, transfers etc.
- Work alongside a P&C Coordinator as you support the business, providing them with mentorship, learning opportunities and exposure to grow their career in HR and at EllisDon.
- Act as a trusted partner for employees and managers, handling inquiries and workplace matters quicky and confidentially.
Is this the right role for you?
- 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources/People & Culture with a Degree or Post Grad Certification in Human Resources is preferred.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of all Federal and Provincial Employments Standards, Occupational Health & Safety, Human Rights legislation, etc.
- Strong HR process skills in investigation and employee relations matters.
- Experience with WorkDay is an asset.
- Experience within union environments is an asset.
- Ability to visits GTA sites weekly and sites outside Ontario 2-3 times per year to ensure there is partnership with all employee groups, understand operational challenges, identifying site needs as well as reinforce company values and culture (access to your own transportation for GTA based travel will be required)
- You’re curious, feel comfortable operating in new environments, and like to work with a diverse group of FM professionals who put their people first.
