Position Summary
The Internal Controls Manager is primarily responsible for all Internal Controls processes in the Canadian Market. Manages local IC Team that ensures Nespresso Canada controls, procedures and guidelines are robust and reduce risk exposure of our assets. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for the deployment of controls and guidelines related to Data Privacy as well as contract signatures management to ensure alignment with global and local regulations as well as Nespresso requirements.
A day in the life of an Internal Controls Manager:
- Leads the Internal Control department by reviewing and improving key processes, policies, and procedures for Nespresso Canada
- Ensures key controls are relevant and continuously improved.
- Owns and deploys the internal controls and data privacy strategy.
- Maintains documentation for finance internal controls, data privacy, and contract management.
- Manages periodic testing and reporting of internal controls and data privacy.
- Manages stakeholder relations for internal and external audits.
- Identifies areas for improvement and reports risks to CFO/ BEO/ManCom.
- Acts as a change agent for contract management processes and guidelines.
- Leads the annual Internal Controls Assessment and tracks improvement action plans.
- Coaches and develops the Internal Control Team.
Leadership & Development of Internal Controls team member
- Lead and manage the performance management process including administration of Performance Evaluations (P.E.s) and PDGs, in partnership with HRBPs.
- Responsible for coaching the Internal controls specialist
- Active role in people development and succession planning for the Internal Control Department.
What will make you successful?
- Bilingualism in English and French is required for collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market.

- 5years’ experience in relevant field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting;
- Professional designation (CPA, CIA, etc.), or progress towards one is considered an asset.
- Experience with global audit processes.
- Experience working closely with senior management.
- In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with ERP systems is an asset.
- Ability to build effective relationships with clients and business partners.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated capability in implementing change initiatives.
- Experience applying risk-based controls.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
