Senior .NET Software Engineer

Permanent: $130-150k Remote: Canada (EST hours)

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with increasing ownership of developing and driving solutions.
• Proficiency with .NET Core, .NET Framework, Entity Framework/ Dapper, Web APIs, and Microservices
• Experience building database-driven applications using SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
• Front-end development experience with Angular or React
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
• Proven ability to work through ambiguous requirements and contribute to solution design, not just feature implementation.
• Strong communication skills with experience collaborating across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience building AI-enabled applications using LLMs, RAG, Agentic frameworks, Vector databases, or MCP servers
• AWS or Azure cloud experience.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
• Experience with messaging and event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Previous experience mentoring developers or providing technical leadership.

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join one of our software-as-a-service clients on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Design, build, and enhance enterprise software applications across multiple product streams.
• Own features and projects from requirements gathering through technical design, development, testing, and production deployment.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Design and develop APIs, microservices, and database-driven applications.
• Debug complex issues across distributed systems and improve observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve code quality, performance, tooling, and development processes.
• Break down work into deliverable milestones, provide estimates, and communicate risks or blockers.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction within the team.
• Document solutions and technical decisions to support knowledge sharing and long-term maintainability.
