Junior Logistics Aftermarket Coordinator

Position Summary IDEX MPT Logistics team is looking for smart, energetic, hard-working, candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate has good working knowledge of international traffic and transportation and trade compliance.
Reports To Manager, Inventory & Logistics
Essential Functions Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the preparation of transportation documents – bill of ladings, packing slip, commercial invoices, B13’s
- Coordinate transportation and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demands with little to no delay
- Maintain daily volume of shipments to ensure deadlines are met. Review backlog report to gauge daily shipments for on time delivery
- Review daily shipping report in advance for inaccuracies
- Provide transportation rates to Sales Team as requested
- Communicate tracking details and provide documents to customers/reps upon request
- Maintain record keeping (ie. document scanning)
- Support printing pick slips
- Pick aftermarket orders when logistics duties are completed
- Assist in packaging aftermarket orders as needed
- Coverage in absence of Team members
- Participate in inventory cycle counts
- Participate in audit activities
- Back up duties for Logistics/Inventory department as required

Organizational Relationships
- Must interface effectively and regularly with:
- All levels of the company (Operations, Buyers, Planners, Sales, Finance, Receiving, Shipping, Inventory, Management)
- All employees (domestic and international)
- Personnel of Forwarders, Carriers and Couriers

Education And/or Experience
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience
- Industry Certifications considered an asset (CITT, CSCMP, CPIM, CCLP, etc.)
- Minimum 1 year experience in a shipping capacity in a manufacturing environment
- Very strong knowledge of Trade Compliance regulations/guidelines (required documents, INCO terms)
- Experience using all major Couriers (UPS, Fedex, DHL, Purolator) and at least basic exposure to their shipping software
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers and reps to facilitate shipments
Language Skills
- Strong written and verbal English
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications, including, but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and ERP systems
- Experience working with MRP/ERP programs. JDE experience a definite asset
Other Qualifications
- Ability to function in a very fast paced manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Prioritizing and multitasking is a must
- Works well in a team environment
- Physical Demands (ability to lift occasionally 50-80 lbs; required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to handle and reach
