Our BANKING & FINANCIAL SERVICES CONSULTING PRACTICE group is looking for a Business Analyst to join our journey.
We’re looking for Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting : 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Consultant, this means creating high-quality client deliverables and taking ownership (with supervision) of producing client content and meeting client expectations; developing an expertise in your functional area, including obtaining certifications; contributing to Client Satisfaction and/or RFPs; supporting leadership and contributing to content development for service offerings; and participating in People Care initiatives and exhibiting personal leadership at all times. In this role, you will
- Exercise responsibility for one or more components of a consulting engagement
Support or drive data-driven identification and analysis of solution requirement
- Conduct workshops with clients to elicit requirements as the basis for creating business requirements documents and user stories
- Monitor solution quality compliance to standards and conduct or facilitate structured solution walkthroughs
- Conduct user acceptance testing and issue tracking / resolution
- Support solution change or enhancement requests
- Prepare and deliver solution training workshops and collateral for clients
- Perform other project tasks as needed, such as competitive research, storyline development, and report preparation (e.g., acceptance, QA).
- These associates develop a profound understanding of the Cognizant way, productive project collaboration skills and practice deliverables, collegial support and information-sharing practices, and exquisite client sensibilities.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- 1-3 years working in technology, consulting, professional services, or solution development within the industry.
- Senior Business Analyst with strong experience in business analysis, quality assurance, and managing end-to-end delivery across complex initiatives.
- Proficient understanding of high value payment systems, messages and settlement methods such as Canada Lynx, SWIFT, and Fedwire.
- Proficient in MS Office, Agile methodology with Product Owner mindset, Shift Left testing methodologies and best practices utilizing collaborative tools like Jira, JTMF, and Confluence.
- Skilled at translating multifaceted business needs into clear, actionable, and testable requirements that align teams across business, technology, compliance, and external partners.
- Proven success leading full solution delivery, from requirements through testing, implementation, and post go live support while maintaining a strong focus on risk, regulatory obligations, and operational readiness.
- Specialized in validating test results across complex payment platforms, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and readiness before deployment.
- Experienced in driving coordination across cross functional teams, vendors, tools, and environments to deliver
- Skilled at identifying defects early in the delivery cycle, analyzing root causes, and driving timely resolution across cross functional teams.
Working model We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Halifax .
