About the role
At PwC the Portfolio Analyst reporting to the Director of the Office of the Chief Information and Technology Officer (OCITO) within the Products & Technology organization, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and orchestrating the flow of work across multiple concurrent, complex, and high-impact technology projects. The Portfolio Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams in Products & Technology and our lines of services to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in accordance with project governance leading practices, to provide transparency to the progress and health of the portfolio of projects, and to provide insights to our lines of services on the performance of their technology projects and assets. The Portfolio Analyst will be a key driver in shaping our technology projects and ensuring their successful execution. The role extends beyond individual projects to encompass the strategic oversight of the entire portfolio of projects for one or more lines of service. The Portfolio Analyst will also play a key role in designing, optimizing and rolling out project, portfolio and resource management practices.

- Monitor the delivery of technology projects to ensure successful execution, including ensuring clarity in scope, financial investments and resource allocation
- Continuously assess the portfolio’s health and balance risk, return and financial investment to advise on project prioritization, investment and resource allocation
- Identify and mitigate portfolio-level risks. Escalate critical issues promptly to senior leadership
- Prepare concise and impactful reports for business and P&T leadership on the portfolio of technology projects and assets, including portfolio financials, risks, and performance. Communicate portfolio health, progress, and challenges effectively to enable informed decision-making
- Support the project governance process, ensuring adherence to leading practices, compliance requirements and standards. Champion transparency, accountability, and effective decision-making
- Collaborate with Team Leads and Resource Manager to ensure optimal resource allocation across initiatives. Anticipate needs and address bottlenecks
- Bridge gaps between different functions and teams. Foster collaboration to drive successful delivery of projects
- Cultivate strong relationships with senior stakeholders in our lines of services and P&T
- Identify, suggest and support the implementation of enhancements project, portfolio and resource management processes
- Identify areas for improvement through process simplification, automation, and use of offshore resources

- Experience in technology project or portfolio management
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a business or technology-related discipline
- Proven experience in technology projects
- Experience with process optimization is preferred
- Experience working in professional services organizations such as consulting or audit firms is preferred
- Proficient with Google and Microsoft suites
- Superior time management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage and negotiate competing priorities
- Adept at managing complex, interrelated projects and driving cross-functional efforts
- Strategic thinker able to align initiatives with organizational goals

This position ensures continuity and upholds our standards of excellence following the departure of a valued team member.
The salary range for this position is $69,600 - $116,100. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
