Our Sunrise Wind Project team is now looking for a Offshore Quality Advsior .

This position will be based in our St. John's office for training and onboarding prior to transition to Offshore New York (Long Island) for the completion of the Sunrise HVDC hook-up project scope.

What will you be doing?

  • Quality oversight and verification of Inspection and Testing activities offshore, including confirmation of appropriate attendees and endorsement of verifying documents.
  • Conducts Quality Surveillance of work to verify compliance with Project specifications and procedures.
  • Provides Quality endorsement of offshore ITPs and Workpacks for Aker Solutions.
  • Provides direction on Quality related issues to offshore personnel executing the scope of work.
  • Coordination of Certifying Authority engagement for Aker Solutions scope of work offshore.
  • Liaison with client Quality personnel offshore to progress work and any Quality issues.
  • Provides reporting of Quality-related metrics and status of work relating to Quality issues to onshore Quality Advisor.
  • Act as the offshore representative to support handling and close-out of any non-conformances and other Quality issues.
  • Support and promote a culture of continuous improvement by recording any Lessons Learned throughout the scope of work.

What We Think You Should Have

  • Welding Inspector CWB Lev 2 minimum or equivalent.
  • NDT certification and/or experience coordinating NDT activities.
  • NACE certification would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a QA/QC position.
  • Working knowledge of the elements of Quality programs and their implementation.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements in Project jurisdiction.
  • Experience working in a Project work site environment and coordinating with other disciplines.
  • Experience working in an offshore and/or shutdown environment would be an asset.
  • Experience in dealing with Certifying Authority would be an asset.
  • Successful completion of an offshore medical and regulatory training required for Offshore Newfoundland.
