##Your Role at Baxter

Baxter Canada is seeking a Field Service Technician II. Reporting to the Service Operations Manager – Central Canada, will be Greater Toronto Area based, but expected to travel throughout the region, servicing customers in locations such as hospitals and long-term care facilities. The successful candidate will provide advanced technical service support, troubleshooting, major inspections, and complex repairs for all assigned products throughout the region and elsewhere as may be assigned.

This role will report into our Calgary Service Center located at 5917 3rd St, SE, Calgary, AB - T2H 1K3.

##Your Team

Our Field Service Technician's are available for 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts.

##What you'll be doing

  • Driving and delivery up to 60% of a regular work week on average, including overnight travel.
  • Service Hillrom & Baxter products. These include (Pre-Installation and Preventive Maintenance (PMs), Routine Maintenance (RM’s), troubleshooting and component replacement and minor cosmetic repairs.
  • Deliver and remove product as well as complete functional checks.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships and provide excellent customer service with various levels of internal and external customers.
  • Demonstration to customer on how to use rental products.
  • Used handheld device and Baxter order management system to coordinate customer orders for shipping and delivery
  • Stay up to date and be proactive with safety, health, and quality in compliance with all company, governmental and customer regulations. Operate safely and within guidelines or regulations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow on-call rotation to provide 24/7 coverage. Exhibit excellent time management skills.
  • The ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 80 pounds
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience in providing excellent in-person and telephone customer service

##What you'll Bring

Required:

  • Diploma or Degree from a Technical, Trade School, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Valid passport & visa for training and meetings to the US
  • Valid driver's license with a minimum of three years current, clean drivers’ abstract

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of troubleshooting experience
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to use Teams/Zoom for virtual meetings.
  • Experience or eagerness to learn and safely drive and operate a 5-ton truck about 20-24 feet in size.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated salary range for this position is $66,560 - $99,840 CAD annually, which reflects base salary as well as estimated target payout under the Management Incentive Compensation Plan. Individual pay will be determined based upon skills, expertise and experience, and the incentive, which is contingent upon company and individual performance outcomes.
