THE ROLE Since its inception, Hylands Golf Club has matured into a top-quality golf facility that offers a full range of services and amenities to its 1200 members and their guests. A true jewel among Canadian Forces golf facilities, Hylands continues to host numerous regional, national and international events. As part of CFMWS, our mandate is to provide affordable golf to our local military personnel and their families. Under the supervision of the Superintendent, Golf Course, the Greens Supervisor supervises the day-to-day work activities of maintenance, labor, grounds and other employees, including scheduling, assignment of daily tasks, and training of new employees. The Greens Supervisor ensures that work meets golf course maintenance standards and develops maintenance programs for golf course and related equipment. You also maintain records such as those related to employees’ hours of work, inventory, maintenance procedures and to the application of pesticide, fertilizer, and fungicide In all you do, you will uphold the highest safety standards and take pride in providing the best possible golf experience to our clients. Qualifications Needed Education, Certifications and Licenses High school diploma AND several years of experience in golf course maintenance or a related field OR A demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. This includes but is not limited to demonstrated military education, training or experience AND Valid Driver’s License Valid Pesticide Applicator License Experience In golf course maintenance In operating tools and equipment required for golf course maintenance In personnel administration In applying pesticides and fertilizers In applying policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable legislation In budget administration Competencies Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

Other Information Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg) This is an on-site position with an assigned work location. This is a seasonal position. The anticipated annual season is March - December. This unionized position is open to all interested parties. Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement for the UFCW local 175 bargaining unit for CFMWS Category I employees at CFSG Ottawa-Gatineau.
