About the Role We are searching for a passionate, highly skilled Head Chef with deep expertise in authentic Indian and Pakistani cuisine. The ideal candidate brings creativity, precision, and a love for bold, traditional flavours — combined with the operational discipline required to lead a professional kitchen and mentor a dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Excellence: Prepare and present authentic Indian and Pakistani dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate. Kitchen Management: Oversee daily kitchen operations, workflow, scheduling, and ensure a smooth, efficient kitchen at all times. Staff Training & Development: Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff — building a skilled, motivated team that upholds our standards of quality and authenticity. Large-Scale Catering: Plan, prepare, and execute catering events for 100 to 250 guests, managing timelines, logistics, and presentation with precision. Portion Control: Implement and maintain strict portion control standards to minimize waste, control costs, and ensure consistent serving sizes. Inventory Management: Oversee food inventory — including ordering, receiving, stock rotation, and supplier relationships. Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment in full compliance with all health and safety regulations. Menu Development: Collaborate with management on menu development, seasonal specials, and continuous improvement of the dining experience. Required Culinary Expertise: Candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience preparing the following dishes to an authentic, professional standard: Tandoor & Grill Specialties: Tandoori Dishes (Chicken, Fish, Paneer) Lamb Chops — marinated & grilled Kebabs — Seekh, Shami, Chapli & more Butter Chicken — rich & creamy Curry Dishes: Karahi — bold wok-cooked masala Nihari — slow-braised beef or lamb Paya — traditional trotters curry Haleem — lentil & meat porridge Biryani — fragrant layered rice & meat Qualifications & Requirements: 5+ years of proven professional experience as a Chef specializing in authentic Indian and/or Pakistani cuisine Demonstrated experience planning and executing catering events for groups of 100 to 250 guests Proven ability to train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff effectively Strong knowledge of portion control techniques and food cost management Experience managing food inventory, supplier relationships, and stock rotation Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards Food safety certification is a strong asset Compensation: Annual Salary: $75,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience and demonstrated skill) Compensation is negotiable for the right candidate.
