Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday,
Until March 4, 2026 - 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
After March 4, 2026 - 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Start Date: December 01, 2025
End Date: October 18, 2026
The Opportunity:
The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide quality delivery of assigned Medical Office Administration courses utilizing a variety of instruction strategies, techniques, and delivery methods to meet the individual learning styles of the students, in a safe and civil learning environment. Instructors are responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with course competencies, taking daily attendance, and grading class tests, assignments, and exams.
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver high-quality classroom instruction, using a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage active student participation and engagement in the learning process. Offer guidance and mentorship to students.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and subject matter expertise.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information. Ensure compliance with College policies and regulations.
- Offer academic and career counseling to students, providing guidance on academic progress, study techniques, and career opportunities.
- Ensure students are on course; communicate progress to Campus Director or Education Manager or Program Coordinator/Faculty Head.
What you bring to the position:
- 5 years of experience in the direct field of study being taught.

- OR a diploma in a related field plus 2 years of direct field experience
- OR a degree in a related field plus 1 year of direct field experience
- Experience with billing in Nova Scotia clinics
- Experience in a hospital clinic or reception role
- Experience in a medical clinic or office environment
- HICA certification
- Adult education/teaching experience (preferred)
- Must meet the minimum qualifications outlined in the Private Career Colleges Act of Nova Scotia
