We are currently looking for a Senior Auto Damage Appraiser (Road Appraiser) to service the New Brunswick region .
In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment of motor vehicle repair costs and assist in the adjustment and settlement of automobile physical damage claims. The assessment will be conducted in an efficient manner to control the indemnity spend and expenses without compromising the delivery of superior customer service.
What You'll Do
- Utilize automated estimating systems to prepare complete, competitive auto repair estimates and communicate repair estimate information to customers, repair facilities and claim representatives as required.
- Negotiate with repair facilities on repair plan processes
- Re-inspect repaired vehicles for quality of service and cost control measure.
- Evaluate actual value of vehicles declared a total loss and take proactive steps to control storage and rental vehicle costs.
- Adherence to dispatch needs and fulfillment of claim investigation and resolution in the field.
- Reports fraudulent claims to senior supervisor.
- Hours of operation can include evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.
What You'll Bring
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Minimum of 5 years of vehicle damage appraisal and collision repair industry experience
- Working knowledge of Mitchell Estimating System
- Strong knowledge in motor vehicle repairs including Passenger vehicles.
- Prior appraiser experience a must.
- Strong computer skills, good communication skills, a strong team player, strong problem solving skills
