Applications are invited for the regular part-time position of Recruitment Officer in the Student Recruitment Division. The starting salary is $28.44/hr for a 24-hour work week. Additional hours may be required during peak recruitment seasons such as fall and winter. Campus location may vary but will be based at the Welland Campus.
Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment Production and Activations, the Recruitment Officer delivers recruitment services and information to prospective students, applicants, and their supporters. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of recruitment and activation events across multiple territories, including high school visits, post-secondary fairs, and large-scale events such as the College Information Program (CIP) Tour, Pathway Panels, and community festivals.
As the event lead, the Recruitment Officer manages event day operations, engages with diverse audiences, and ensures timely follow-up with prospective students and influencers. The incumbent will also support recruitment logistics, email and calling campaigns, and assist with production and inventory as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Plan and execute small and large scale recruitment events across assigned territories
- Lead event day setup, execution, and coordination, often working alongside an event team
- Provide engaging presentations and information sessions to prospective students, parents, and guidance counsellors
- Ensure prospective student information is accurately captured in college Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems and complete timely follow-ups
- Work collaboratively with recruitment colleagues on out-of-region campaigns and community activations
- Manage assigned budgets, ensuring activities are delivered on time and within approved resources
Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) year diploma or degree
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in customer service and/or sales, ideally in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Experience in education, student recruitment, admissions, or outreach is considered an asset
- Experience working with CRM systems is considered an asset
- Strong public speaking, presentation, and event coordination skills
- Excellent relationship management and customer service skills
- Must hold a valid Ontario G Driver’s License
