Since its inception as a heating contractor in 1927, Kolostat has evolved into a multidisciplinary team specializing in the design-build (design-built) of projects in building mechanics and industrial HVAC systems, multi-residential and commercial. In November 2022, Kolostat inc. and Krome merged to form a single entity with very complementary expertise. The offices are located in Laval, Montreal and Toronto, and the company carries out projects across Canada.

We are looking for candidates to fill the following position:
Foreman (Plumbing and Piping)
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Responsible for a team of 1-12 workers for mechanical and/or plumbing projects;
- Site health and safety officer;
- Participate in mechanical/plumbing work with your tools;
- Respect project schedule and procedures;
- Ensure the quality of work done by the team according to established standards;
- Participation in project and site meetings;
- Be the contact person between the office and the project team;
- Perform any other duties related to this position.
Profile and skills we are looking for
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a construction foreman or project manager;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in plumbing and/or mechanical systems;
- Valid CCQ Certificate of Competency;
- Valid driver’s licence;
- Excellent communication, leadership and planning skills;
- Must love and value teamwork
- Work requires good physical fitness;
- Good understanding of plumbing and mechanical engineering specifications;
- Good knowledge of the Building Code;
- Read and interpret plans;
- Be flexible and available as work schedules may vary;
- Basic IT and technology knowledge (working with an iPad, completing and approving time sheets in an ERP system);
- Bilingualism (French, English); an asset
- Gas map; an asset
