Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) a not-for-profit national trade association that represents and advocates for member companies in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry (HVACR). We are looking for a creative, organized, and results-oriented Events Marketing Specialist to support the promotion and execution of HRAI’s trade shows, conferences, and signature events. This fully remote role is ideal for a marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys combining digital marketing expertise with live event execution to drive engagement, attendance, and sponsor value.

The salary range for this role is $65,000-$75,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Major Responsibilities:
Campaign & Digital Marketing:
- Support multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, social, web, paid media) to drive engagement, attendance, and sponsorship ROI.
- Assist with content creation, list management, and template usage for email campaigns.
- Update and maintain event websites and landing pages with accurate, timely information.
- Capture digital and photo content during events for marketing purposes.
- Assist with digital content marketing initiatives, including blog posts, video interviews, and thought leadership features.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including education/content, to gather speaker bios, headshots, and session details, and promote sessions through digital campaigns.
Creative & Collateral Development:
- Design and produce marketing materials, including social graphics, brochures, flyers, web banners, event signage, and sponsorship collateral.
- Ensure all materials comply with brand standards, accessibility requirements, and industry regulations.
- Maintain organized marketing calendars and event assets for reuse across events.
- Coordinate logistics of marketing assets/materials with exhibitors, partners (media & industry), and sponsors for timely delivery.
Social Media & Community Engagement:
- Create, schedule, and publish posts across social platforms.
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and help grow social media following.
- Execute interactive campaigns (polls, giveaways, countdowns) to promote events.
Onsite Event Marketing Support:
- Assist with event set-up, including signage, digital displays, and sponsorship activations.
- Manage distribution of printed materials and promotional items.
- Provide on-site support to attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and speakers as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Supplier Management:
- Collaborate with sales, operations, education/content, and leadership teams to align marketing efforts with event goals.
- Work with external creative, marketing, media, and print/digital suppliers to execute campaigns and maintain brand consistency.
- Support budget tracking and cost efficiencies related to marketing deliverables.
Reporting & Administrative Support:
- Assist with post-event surveys, data collection, and wrap-up deliverables for sponsors and stakeholders.
- Collect and analyze campaign data (email metrics, web traffic, lead conversions) and provide actionable insights.
- Prepare basic post-event reports and summaries for internal teams.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed to support event marketing initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, email marketing, social media management, and website content management.
- Experience with tools such as Mailchimp, WordPress, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms, and analytics tools.
- Excellent written communication and content creation skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing, event marketing, or B2B marketing.
- Experience supporting trade shows, conferences, or association events considered an asset.
