Position Overview
Reporting to the Sales Director – Quebec, the Technical Representative is responsible for promoting, developing, and providing technical support for AIL products to clients and partners in the Eastern Quebec region.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain business relationships with engineering firms, contractors, distributors, and public organizations.
- Actively promote AIL’s products and solutions to market decision-makers and influencers.
- Provide technical support to clients, including product selection, preliminary design, estimating, and proposal preparation.
- Participate in project planning and follow-up from design through to delivery.
- Conduct site visits, meet clients on location, and ensure quality after-sales service.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Represent AIL at regional events, trade shows, and technical presentations.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
- College or university degree in civil engineering, construction, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in technical sales, representation, or the civil engineering field (a strong asset).
- Solid understanding of the construction market and engineering firms in Eastern Quebec.
- Excellent comprehension of technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s territory effectively.
- Bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written, is mandatory.
- Proficiency with computer tools (Microsoft Office, CRM, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license and availability for frequent travel within the region.
