Position Description
Position Summary This role reports to Manager of Digital Solutions- Learning & Instructional design and works closely with Clinical Applications and Project Management Innovation Office, as well as clinical and non-clinical staff to gain a thorough understanding of the Dovetale, clinical systems and the associated workflows to ensure a comprehensive training approach.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Education, Health Informatics or Health Sciences required
- A diploma or certification in Informatics or Adult Learning or Regulated Health Professional is considered an asset
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in curriculum development and instructional design required
- Previous experience in education delivery utilizing Adult Learning Principles required
- Previous Epic software experience/certification is an asset
- Previous project/systems implementation experience required
- Experience in a health-care environment – basic understanding of clinical workflows and terminology preferred
- A valid travel document for travelling to the Unites States is required.
Responsibilities
- Strong adult education skills – developing, preparing and delivering education
- The ability to probe for information about the underlying needs of the organization
- Communicate effectively with project team members and subject matter experts and follow-up on identified training issues
- Ability and interest to learn the software and increase knowledge over time and eagerness to promote it within the organization
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.); Visio experience is an asset
- Strong organization, problem solving and analytical skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to work equally well as a member of a team or alone to carry out project activities, resilience, and creativity are essential
- Innovative, results and detail oriented
- Possesses a solid understanding of patient care services, clinical processes and handling of personal health information in order to demonstrate cases
- Familiar with PHIPA, PIPEDA and AODA legislation
- Experience with Prezi, Captivate and other media applications
- Experience building course into a Learning Management System (LMS), deploying content and reporting on results is an asset
- Highly proficient in creating effective and imaginative training materials and presentations
- Must be able to work independently, but also collaboratively as a member of a high performing team
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently handle several tasks simultaneously
- Epic training certification will be required within 3 months of hiring. All expenses associated with the certification process will be covered by SJHH
