As a Senior AI Data Scientist, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of GenAI and machine learning solutions while helping clients navigate risks, data governance, and enterprise AI adoption.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Evaluate, build, and improve the output quality of GenAI solutions and frameworks
• Build LLM‑based and NLP solutions using best‑in‑class techniques
• Act as both Data Engineer and Prompt Engineer to design end‑to‑end LLM solutions
• Build, tune, deploy, and monitor ML solutions using MLOps best practices
• Mitigate risks and optimize costs by choosing the right GenAI architecture and advising on best practices
• Work closely with innovation and account teams to explore new AI use cases
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers across delivery teams
• Develop proof‑of‑concepts and scale them into fully deployed ML solutions in on‑prem and cloud environments

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• University degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 7+ years of hands-on experience delivering advanced analytics solutions

• Extensive experience developing, fine‑tuning, and productionizing Generative AI solutions

• Experience with data protection strategy, critical data asset identification, and securing enterprise data

• Experience enhancing enterprise data architecture, management, and governance

• Experience with data sharing, integration, analytics, and AI strategy

• Experience with AI implementation frameworks

• Expertise integrating cloud technologies and ML to build scalable models

• Hands-on experience building LLM-based solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP

• Experience fine‑tuning LLMs using modern techniques

• Strong coding skills in Python, SQL, and at least one major cloud provider (Azure or AWS)

• Strong collaboration experience across cross-functional teams

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot plugins/connectors, Copilot Studio

• Experience with agentic frameworks such as CrewAI, Autogen, etc.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $90,000–$140,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
