About the role
The Repair and Restoration Technician supports restoration projects within the restoration division. With an intermediate to advanced understanding of carpentry fundamentals in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, this role contributes significantly to meeting both client and insurance company requirements. The Repair and Restoration Technician works independently and as part of a team to collaborate effectively in residential and commercial environments. This role is dedicated to delivering high-quality results, consistently meeting project goals, and exceeding customer expectations through skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail. 2.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare material take-offs, read blueprints, interpret work orders, and apply building codes andconstruction math to ensure compliance and accurate execution of tasks;
- Perform restoration tasks in line with residential and commercial construction projects from sitepreparation to job completion;
- Identify and address issues affecting job completion, proactively communicating with the ProjectManager and adhering to timelines to ensure quality work and customer satisfaction;
- Foster customer satisfaction by maintaining professionalism, building strong relationships, andensuring prompt, accurate communication with clients, subcontractors, insurance adjustors andother relevant stakeholders;
- Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by conducting hazard assessments, maintainingorganized and hazard-free job sites, and ensuring proper use, maintenance, and storage of tools,equipment, and PPE. Promptly report and document unsafe conditions or incidents, activelyparticipate in safety training and inspections, and support organizational safety initiatives asdirected by the Health and Safety Department; and
- Any other reasonable duties as assigned.
3.Qualifications:
i.Required:
- Highschool Diploma/GED;
- Proficient in basic math skills;
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a diversified workload and meet deadlinesin a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to work independently or as a team, as required;
- Attention to detail and a keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property and information; and
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR’s Auto Policy.
ii.Preferred:
- 1+ years of experience within the construction, restoration or insurance industry;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite;

- Working Conditions:

- Perform tasks requiring mobility in tight or confined spaces, sustained physical activity (standing, lifting, walking, bending, kneeling), and working at heights over 5 feet as needed;
- Manual dexterity for keyboarding, repetitive tasks, and prolonged periods of computer use, demanding attention to detail and high levels of accuracy; and
- Periodic travel may be required.
