Job Title: Second Pastry Cook
We are recruiting for (1) Second Cook - Pastry. The position is full-time 30-40 hours per week, permanent with an hourly rate of $18. Overtime may be necessary as required paid at time and half.
Job duties:
- Support the daily operations of the pastry department by preparing high-quality pastries and desserts in accordance with established standards, ensuring consistency and excellence for restaurant dining, café offerings, and banquet services.
- Operate baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances safely and effectively to prepare baked goods, adhering to established recipes and procedures.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety and handling protocols, including maintaining personal hygiene standards at all times.
- Monitor and verify the proper temperatures of kitchen appliances and food to ensure safety and quality standards are met, promptly reporting any discrepancies or malfunctions to management.
Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of related pastry/baking experience.
- Culinary management diploma and/or cooking certificate is an asset for this position.
