Inventory Planning Coordinator (2025-9272)
About the role
Job Summary : A key member of the Inventory Planning team, the Inventory Planning Coordinator will work across multiple business units to plan, replenish, and maintain optimal levels of inventory in order support business growth and profitability. The Inventory Planning Coordinator will strive to maximize customer service levels while optimizing associated inventory costs. Additionally, the Inventory Planning Coordinator plays a key role in providing the organization with visibility to inventory health through the development, compilation, and distribution of key reports.
Activity A – Inventory Replenishment
- National replenishment of inventory across multiple business units (Konstant, Johnston New Equipment, Parts, SSG, etc.) using prescribed replenishment processes and tools.
- Update applications and systems as required to ensure that replenishment plans are of the highest level of accuracy.
- Hold collaborative inventory planning sessions to gather market intelligence and incorporate into replenishment plans.
- Create PO’s based on collaborative inventory plan within the ERP (JDE) and liaise with vendors
- Manage the overall quality of PO’s, including timeliness, accuracy of products, quantities and pricing.
- Manage key replenishment exceptions including those related to overstocks and stock outs.
- Work cross functionally to ensure transactional process breakdowns are minimized.
- Work with team to identify areas of improvement and assist with improvement efforts.
- Perform backfill duties as required.
Activity B – Optimizing Inventory
- Manage inventory levels that will satisfy forecasted demand requirements while maintaining effective inventory management methodologies and metrics.
- Identify inventory imbalances (overstocks, shortages, etc.) and work with regional operations to organize effective and efficient rebalance opportunities.
- Work with vendors and manufacturing operations to expedite as required to maximize customer service levels.
- Work with branch operations to ensure operational constraints are openly communicated, understood, and incorporated into replenishment plans.
- Support SKU rationalization and new item launch initiatives.
- Assist regional operations teams with inventory related concerns, adjustments, etc.
- Regularly review on-hand, committed, on order and available inventories in branches and vans to look for inaccuracies in inventory. Investigate root cause and prepare reports for correction.

Assist in developing reports that will enable the business in identifying process gaps, improving operational efficiency and/or monitoring progress towards initiatives.
Education
- Post-secondary education in a technical or business discipline.
- CPIM and/or SCMP Designations preferred.
- Exposure to the Toyota Production System would be an asset.
Skills
- Advanced skills in MS suite of tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (JDE preferred). The ability to pull data, make changes as necessary, audit data integrity would be a strong asset.
- Ability to communicate and present to all levels and functions.
- Working knowledge of BI systems and data mining tools.
- Ability to summarized and present large data sets to all levels.
- Comply with J-SOX Requirement and Delegation of Authority.
- Must have data entry experience.
- Attention to accuracy and quality, while focusing on meeting goals and deadlines.
