About the role
Company Overview
Durwest has been a trusted leader in Construction and Project Management for over 40 years, with a strong presence on Vancouver Island and a reputation for successfully delivering complex projects with precision, collaboration, and care.
We are in an exciting period of growth and transformation. We have new leadership, a revitalized brand, and an elevated commitment to operational excellence and the Durwest Building Experience.
We are actively seeking professionals who take ownership, embrace growth, and build lasting relationships; individuals ready to help us shape the next chapter of Durwest.
Role Overview
Durwest is in an exciting period of growth — expanding our project portfolio, deepening our joint venture partnerships, and building the operational foundation to support a larger, more complex organization. The Controller is integral to making that happen.
This is a leadership role for someone who wants to do more than manage the books. We’re looking for a financial leader who will elevate and deepen our utilization of Acumatica ERP, build the reporting platforms and systems that scale with our growth, and be a genuine partner to our operations team. Reporting to the President, you’ll work closely with project managers and the operations team, contribute to the strategic conversations happening at the leadership table, and have real visibility into how a growing construction company operates.
This role has a clear path for growth. As Durwest scales, so does the scope and influence of a financial leadership position — and we’re committed to investing in the right person for the long term.

Work closely with project managers and the operations team to ensure financial and operational data is integrated and consistent.
Systems and Technology – Acumatica ERP
