About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team remotely. As a Senior Java Developer at Ascendion, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend applications that meet the evolving needs of our enterprise clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, DevOps engineers, and frontend developers, to deliver innovative solutions that enhance our digital offerings. Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience with Java 8 or higher, demonstrating a deep understanding of Java programming principles.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework for building robust backend services.
• Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture, including designing, developing, and deploying distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Kafka or similar message streaming platforms for real-time data processing and event-driven architectures.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous integration and delivery processes.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is considered a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Create and integrate Microservices to support distributed systems, ensuring they are scalable, resilient, and maintainable.
• Implement and manage Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming, event-driven processing, and system integration.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and industry standards.
• Optimize system performance through code refinement, database tuning, and infrastructure improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure high system availability.
• Participate actively in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies to promote continuous improvement and team collaboration.
