Logistics Coordinator Location: Winnipeg
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the transportation and distribution functions of feed products from Masterfeeds' mills to the customers. The role involves planning, scheduling, tracking, and optimizing the delivery operations to ensure customer satisfaction, cost efficiency and safety compliance. The Logistics Coordinator also communicates and collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders, such as sales, production, carriers, drivers, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and schedule the daily, weekly, and monthly delivery routes based on customer orders, product availability, mill capacity and truck schedules.

Monitor and track the delivery status and performance using the transportation management system and GPS tracking devices. Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the transportation process.

Create, complete, and maintain documentation and records for cross-border (Provincial/International) deliveries, ensuring that the drivers have complete documentation before dispatch

Communicate and coordinate with the sales, production, and warehouse teams to ensure the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders and inventory replenishment.

Maintain and develop positive relationships with the carriers, drivers, and customers.

Negotiate rates and contracts with the carriers, and ensure they comply with Masterfeeds' policies and standards. Provide feedback and support to the drivers and handle any customer complaints or inquiries.

Perform administrative tasks related to the delivery operations, such as preparing and verifying invoices, bills of lading, manifests, and other documents.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, business administration or related field an asset.
-
Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation, distribution or logistics coordination required.

Experience in agriculture or feed industry an asset.
-
Valid Class 1 driver's license and clean driving record required.
-
Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking devices and Microsoft Office applications required.

Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards and industry best practices required.

Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving and analytical skills required.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment required.

Aworking knowledge of English, including the ability to read, write, and comprehend written and spoken English, is required.
