About the role
We are looking for a Senior Business Development expert to drive our market presence in Central Alberta. This role is built for a professional who understands the mechanics of heavy-duty rotating equipment and has the commercial discipline to turn that knowledge into revenue.
In this position, you will be the primary point of contact for our compression services—spanning preventative maintenance, major overhauls, and custom generator construction. This is a high-autonomy, senior-level role focused on strategic territory growth and high-value project acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Market Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to expand our footprint in Central Alberta, targeting both existing accounts and new prospects.
- Technical Consultation: Leverage your mechanical background to evaluate client needs on-site, providing expert recommendations for gas compression and power generation solutions.
- Proposal & Contract Management: Lead the development of technical proposals, ensuring pricing strategies align with both market conditions and company profitability goals.
- Relationship Management: Establish long-term partnerships with plant managers and industrial leads through consistent field presence and proactive problem-solving.
- Strategic Reporting: Monitor market cycles and competitive activity, providing the leadership team with actionable intelligence to optimize our equipment utilization.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in oilfield service sales, with a strong preference for candidates with Gas Compression expertise.
- Journeyman Millwright, Heavy Equipment Technician (HET), or a related technical degree preferred.
- Experience navigating complex service agreements, pricing schedules, and the overall P&L impact of large-scale projects.
- Ability to manage a regional schedule independently, from initial lead generation to project closing and payment follow-up.
- Skilled at translating technical service requirements into clear presentations and formal proposals for stakeholders at all levels.
Working Environment This role requires a strong field presence at gas plants and industrial facilities throughout the region. Travel is a requirement for this role.
