Commercial Cleaning Services (CCS) is currently seeking a Site Manager for a logistics warehouse in St. Thomas, ON. As the Site Manager you will manage the delivery of contracted janitorial services and lead a team of unionized janitorial staff.

Job Duties

• Oversee a team of 120 unionized janitorial staff as well as the Assistant Site Manager as well as Site and Shift Supervisors
• Understand service requirements and manage the execution of services in accordance with the scope of work
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with established work routes, schedules and equipment use for optimal efficiency
• Inspect sites and facilities to ensure cleaners’ work meets internal and external quality standards, take corrective action if required
• Process client work orders and follow up with the client to ensure satisfaction with service delivery
• Resolve client complaints and concerns and take steps to prevent escalation or recurrence
• Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as equipment repairs, replacements or out of scope periodic work
• Oversee staff management and ensure employees are consistently achieving performance results
• Train cleaning staff to complete tasks in compliance with CCS’ internal standards of quality and safety
• Promote a safe work environment by ensuring that cleaners are following CCS’ safe operating procedures
• Use technology tools effectively to perform checkpoints, close deficiencies, order supplies, and complete work orders, where applicable
• Complete payroll with accuracy, in accordance with established deadlines
• Ensure site is in compliance with required postings, communications and policies related to service delivery or health and safety
• Perform safety inspections to prevent accidents and injuries and remove hazards
• Complete accident or incident reports to identify root causes and prevent reoccurrence
• Ensure equipment and supplies is well maintained and properly stored
• 3+ years’ experience supervisory experience in the janitorial industry, preferably in a unionized environment
• Post secondary education in business or a related field
• Strong knowledge of best practices in the cleaning industry including cleaning processes, environmentally sustainable products, tools, equipment and machinery
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly to various stakeholders

• G Class Driver’s Licence
