About the role
Commercial Cleaning Services (CCS) is currently seeking a Site Manager for a logistics warehouse in St. Thomas, ON. As the Site Manager you will manage the delivery of contracted janitorial services and lead a team of unionized janitorial staff.

Job Duties
- Oversee a team of 120 unionized janitorial staff as well as the Assistant Site Manager as well as Site and Shift Supervisors
- Understand service requirements and manage the execution of services in accordance with the scope of work
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with established work routes, schedules and equipment use for optimal efficiency
- Inspect sites and facilities to ensure cleaners’ work meets internal and external quality standards, take corrective action if required
- Process client work orders and follow up with the client to ensure satisfaction with service delivery
- Resolve client complaints and concerns and take steps to prevent escalation or recurrence
- Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as equipment repairs, replacements or out of scope periodic work
- Oversee staff management and ensure employees are consistently achieving performance results
- Train cleaning staff to complete tasks in compliance with CCS’ internal standards of quality and safety
- Promote a safe work environment by ensuring that cleaners are following CCS’ safe operating procedures
- Use technology tools effectively to perform checkpoints, close deficiencies, order supplies, and complete work orders, where applicable
- Complete payroll with accuracy, in accordance with established deadlines
- Ensure site is in compliance with required postings, communications and policies related to service delivery or health and safety
- Perform safety inspections to prevent accidents and injuries and remove hazards
- Complete accident or incident reports to identify root causes and prevent reoccurrence
- Ensure equipment and supplies is well maintained and properly stored
- 3+ years’ experience supervisory experience in the janitorial industry, preferably in a unionized environment
- Post secondary education in business or a related field
- Strong knowledge of best practices in the cleaning industry including cleaning processes, environmentally sustainable products, tools, equipment and machinery
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly to various stakeholders
Candidate Profile
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products and technology tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Positive, friendly mindset and ability to collaborate with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
- G Class Driver’s Licence
