Job Overview
Kensington Screening Clinic is a state-of-the-art ambulatory GI Endoscopy Centre/Infusion Clinic and Research Centre. We make use of the latest in technology to provide world class, individual and timely care to our patients in need of GI Endoscopy/Infusion Services.
Kensington Screening Clinic and Kensington Infusion Clinic is seeking two experienced casual Registered Nurses.
Responsibilities
- Provide Patient-centered quality care in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Must maintain patient confidentiality and integrity policy on all matters involving Kensington Infusion Clinic and Kensington Screening Clinic.
- Maintain accurate and complete records.
- Assist with Endoscopic Procedures and/or Recovery of Patients.
- Assist with pre and post procedures in an endoscopy setting.
- Administer Biologic infusions in a clinic setting.
- Being accountable for one’s decision and professional practice.
- Good communication skills of English both in verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills is a must.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience in Endoscopy, Infusion, Gastroenterology, and PACU.
- Continuous clinical development/competency.
- Evidence of good working ethics and an excellent attendance record.
Required Professional Designation/Certificate:
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current BCLS and ACLS are mandatory requirements.
- Membership in local professional associations.
Others:
- Willing to work flex hours to meet facility needs.
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous Endoscopy and Infusion experience.
