Key position functions include:
- Dismantle and prepare equipment for repair and inspection
- Conduct dimensional inspections on products
- Complete all reporting and documentation as required
- Advise on and assist in creation of NCIR’s for products and equipment
- Perform hardness testing as required
- Advise Engineering/Production of any missing requirements or issues with repairs (missing specifications, inaccurate descriptions, etc)
- Review and approve equipment for final inspection
- Inform Supervisor/Management of any irregularities with equipment
- Correct equipment deficiencies within allowable tolerance using pneumatic and hand tooling as required
- Organize and directly support farm-out inventory
- Afterhours availability when required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:
- High School Diploma
- Machine Shop Inspection Training / experience required (minimum 1 year) – dimensional inspection, hardness testing, understanding of technical drawings
- Understanding of basic trigonometry
- A basic understanding of hand and power tool functionality
- Experience with wellhead and valve equipment an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude, a good work ethic and willingness to learn
- Forklift experience an asset
- Experience with wellhead and valve equipment an asset
- Effective communication (oral and written), organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and maintain deadlines
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of ERP software such as SAP an asset
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
