Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and lead our team to success. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for the food industry. This role involves managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the overall efficiency of the restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving processes
- Manage team members through interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health regulations
- Lead kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking to uphold quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment
- Enforce restaurant policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency
- Manage financial transactions accurately and oversee cash handling procedures
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, hospitality, and leadership
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong background in food industry operations including food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Experience with restaurant management systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Demonstrated leadership skills in team management and staff development
- Previous experience in hospitality settings such as hotels or bars is advantageous
- Familiarity with food handling regulations, kitchen operations, and customer service excellence
- Experience with interviewing potential staff members is preferred
