Intern, Procurement (IT/OT) All Category Teams

This is a full-time summer internship lasting from May 11, 2026, until August 28, 2026.

Job Summary

The focus of this internship is related to data cleanup and governance around the Software Renewals list. The objective would be to update all the contract workspaces and applicable fields to properly capture auto-renewals and ensure the proper notice period is clearly reflected and accurate.

This internship may also help us with the Optimization of License Usage and Support Agreements that we have spanning across all our IT category teams. The intern would work Analyzing the 5 Year ITOT spend and identify, with the support of IT, Gartner, and CN’s IT stakeholders, opportunities to reduce the number of recurring annual renewals we manage in our Categories.

Major Responsibilities

  • Validate the appropriate required information for the full renewal database with the support and validation of the category teams and the internal stakeholder teams.
  • Update all the required fields in Ariba
  • Identify potential opportunities for termination, cost reduction, or cost avoidance through optimization
  • Data analysis of 5-year IT/OT spend in order to understand trends, peaks and valleys in renewal dates, etc
  • Work with IT stakeholders to assess and forecast needs, both short-term and long-term
  • Build strategy and schedule for negotiating new terms and or start/end dates in upcoming renewals
  • Analyze number of licenses used, number of licenses required, and number of licenses currently paying for in order to optimize license usage and cost

Requirements

  • Autonomous, confident with good sense of business acumen.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills - knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of other software such as SmartSheet and Tableau.
  • Fluently bilingual - both written and verbal (English, French).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Interest and naturally curious
  • Effective communication skills

Education

  • Recently graduated or working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or equivalent.
