Leap Event Technology is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Mobile team. In this role, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA to create and execute test plans, identify issues, and help deliver exceptional mobile experiences for our customers.

As a Qa Analyst, You Will

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases for mobile applications on iOS and Android.
  • Test the integration and functionality of mobile apps as configured and maintained through our mobile CMS.
  • Validate CMS-driven updates and configurations across multiple app builds and environments.
  • Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and provide early feedback.
  • Report, track, and verify bugs through their lifecycle using Jira.
  • Contribute to test strategy and best practices for mobile and CMS testing.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and results.
  • Provide QA input throughout the software development lifecycle to help shape requirements and design.

Experience & Skills

  • 2–5 years of professional experience as a QA Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android.
  • Familiarity with mobile testing tools, emulators, and physical device testing.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, defect lifecycle, and SDLC.
  • Experience working with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering high-quality software.
  • Strong knowledge in Python or JavaScript, with experience writing test scripts, automation, or debugging code.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks for mobile (e.g., Appium, XCTest, Espresso).
  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to explore how GenAI can transform QA beyond traditional methods.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience working with or testing a Content Management System (CMS).
  • Exposure to or interest in generative AI tools and their application in software testing.
  • Experience leveraging GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, test generation frameworks) to accelerate creation of test cases, test scripts, and regression coverage.

Office Information Leap Event Technology is a 100% remote-friendly company. However, we do offer the option of working in the office for employees located in Montréal (CAN), Dallas (U.S.), Sydney (AUS). All of our offices are stocked with snacks and drinks and we provide a free lunch every week. We offer a monthly travel stipend, and even host the occasional themed party and happy hour!

If you don’t live near an office but happen to be visiting nearby, you can work from the office for as long as you need.
