About the role
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dry pea and bean farming. Organic farming. Other miscellaneous animal farming. Other miscellaneous crop farming. Outdoors. Dusty. Hot. Wet/damp. Tasks: Greenhouse cleaning. Handling animals. Maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment. Mixing fertilizer. Monitoring animal health. Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops. Track and report on current feed inventory . Weeding. Fertilize and spray crops. Feed and tend animals. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Write daily basic progress reports. Repair and maintain equipment. Clean the crops. Cut horticultural crops. Harvest seedlings. Follow sustainable soy farming practices such as crop rotation, reduced-till or no-till, water and nutrient management, precision farming technology and cover crops. Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts. Tie and secure plants. Interac with bees based on your knowledge of their biology, behaviour, ecology and caste system. Apiary and honey harvesting experience: Apiary management. Type of crops: Bell peppers. Cucumbers. Soybeans. Tomatoes. Equipment and machinery experience: Automated irrigation system. Feeding and watering system. Automated systems experience: Automated environmental control equipment. Manure handling and storage. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment.
