We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Services Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing support in various administrative and clerical tasks.
The primary responsibility of the Office Services Assistant is to perform a wide range of tasks within the Office Services Centre, including mail and courier management, printing and copying services, stock and inventory, and providing support to the Office Services Supervisor.
This position reports to the Office Services Supervisor.
Working hours Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:30pm
What you will do:
- Efficiently manage all incoming and outgoing mail.
- Perform courier responsibilities, utilizing computer systems to accurately assign delivery instructions for parcels.
- Support meeting room set-up and tear-down, including the provision and arrangement of additional furniture or fixtures as needed.
- Provide assistance with print, copy, and binding requests to support office productivity.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work overtime during peak periods, with advance notice and team coordination to maintain work-life balance.
- Assist Office Services Supervisor as assigned and or needed
- Serve as backup to the Office Services Supervisor for office supply and business card ordering
At times, business needs arise and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.
What you bring to this role:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to prioritize requests and workload, cope with multiple, fluctuating priorities and to keep track and follow up on details
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and thrives in a busy team-oriented work environment
- Previous experience with mail room / general office support duties an asset
- Able to work independently and is capable and interested in taking initiative. Looks for opportunities to streamline processes and create efficiencies
- Ability to exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive/confidential information
- A team player, friendly and receptive with the ability to demonstrate composure and flexibility at all times
- Capable of lifting boxes up to 50lbs
- Experience using the Microsoft suite of applications
- Professional attitude with a strong customer service-oriented attitude and approach to work is a must.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
In British Columbia, the expected base salary range for this position is $43,000 to $59,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
