We are currently seeking a committed and motivated leader to join our Manufacturing team as our next Maintenance Manager. In this role, you are responsible for overseeing and driving the success of the Manufacturing department by ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency. This role is 50% hands-on and 50% office-based, combining technical expertise with leadership to ensure equipment reliability, efficient operations, and process improvements. The Maintenance Manager collaborates with facilities, warehouse, production, and maintenance teams, while also building systems and programs from the ground up to support the department’s growth.
The day-to-day activities of our Maintenance Manager include:
- Troubleshooting and Maintaining Equipment – Diagnose and solve technical issues with equipment, acting as a hands-on leader while developing and implementing maintenance systems, processes, and procedures.
- Team Leadership – Lead and develop a small maintenance team by setting clear expectations, coaching for performance, conducting regular check-ins and reviews, and supporting continuous development.
- Commitment to Safety – Lead efforts to ensure a safe work environment by participating in accident investigations, inspections, and promoting a safety-conscious culture. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations to protect the well-being of employees.
- Teamwork and Continuous Improvement - Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies and implement strategies that improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. Foster strong interdepartmental relationships to ensure seamless coordination and smooth operations across the organization.
The right candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications on their resume and in the initial pre-screen phone call:
- Journeyman-level trade certification
- Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical background with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment and system issues
- Experience building maintenance programs and systems from the ground up
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across teams
- Strong organizational skills and experience balancing hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities
- Proven ability to lead improvement projects and drive results
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 23 Kg (50lbs); and work in various temperatures and/or dusty environments.
