We are currently looking to hire an Advisor, Legal Systems & Solutions to join our Edmonton or Calgary office.
The successful candidate is an intermediate business professional with experience in the areas of project management, as well as digital system design, development and implementation. This collaborative role supports operational projects, initiatives, and digital solutions for Legal Services, focusing on developing optimization tools that align with strategic goals

What You Will Do:
- Manages and executes projects of moderate size and complexity with cross functional work streams; projects can include process improvements and/or digital application development (eg. Power Apps, Power Automate, or other low code tools).
- Works with LSO leadership, business partners and technical teams to design and execute process and digital application development; gather and define requirements and recommendations; document changes for change control purposes; design and implement solutions; and ensure user ease of adoption to support the organization in achieving sustainable processes.
- Sustains Agile-based methodology in project planning and execution; fosters competencies to deploy self-organizing teams to identify, design, and deploy continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support effective operations, processes, culture, and information flow through the department; assists in the development of informational or training programs to build awareness and capability; coach and mentor staff in application of best practices.
- Supports the development and maintenance of performance measures; conducts quantitative and qualitative analyses of operational performance data/information; builds and maintains data/information models; delivers operations management reports.
- Maintains project workplans, calendars, and collaboration tools; provide input and insight into key results and metrics; develop process documentation, from concept to implementation; identifies gaps and recommends mitigations; analyzes current state processes and develop new ones to support effective department decision-making.
Who You Are:
- University degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business, Economics, Law, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Communications, Education).
- 4-7 years of related broad business experience; transformational process change management is an asset.
- Demonstrated proficiency working with applications such as Microsoft Office products (e. Word, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Power BI is an asset) and able to learn other systems independently (e.g. ECM, TeamConnect, TAP Workflow Automation).
- Proficiency in low-code/no-code system development (e.g. Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.)
- Familiarity with legal services and the specific challenges and opportunities within this sector is an asset.
- Strong and diverse communication skills; the ability to relate to lawyers and broader in-house legal community is essential. Experience in a legal environment, law firm or corporate legal department is an asset.
- Strong organization skills, ability to work flexibly (in groups or independently) and to deadlines; self-motivated and proactive.
- Adaptable and reactive; have the personal flexibility to embrace frequent change in all forms.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve business issues using strong influencing, analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

- Ability to maintain high degree of independence in the day-to-day performance of duties.
