Your responsibility
- Serve as the first iOS engineer in North America, driving growth initiatives and acting as an objective owner across multiple products, with strong upside through Agent Opus (Q1/Q2).
- Design, plan, and build the OpusClip iOS app from the ground up with scalability, performance, and maintainability in mind (with future expansion to Android).
- Collaborate closely with the PM as the technical lead, contributing to product roadmap discussions, scoping, and tradeoff decisions.
- Provide technical feedback during design reviews to ensure feasibility, performance, and alignment with mobile best practices.
- Integrate appropriate SaaS tools (analytics, monitoring, experimentation frameworks, etc.) to support operational excellence and data-driven iteration.
- Hire, mentor, and lead future mobile engineers, fostering a strong technical culture and setting high execution standards.
Qualifications
- Deep passion for AI-native applications and social media ecosystems.
- 5–8 years of experience building and scaling mobile apps, with proven impact on international markets, payment systems, or media platforms, or experience in a top-tier or high-growth consumer app.
- Demonstrated success optimizing scalability in a 1 10 startup environment
- Proficient in developing modern iOS applications (Swift, UIKit) and familiar with Android best practices.
- Strong ability to analyze product specs and designs, ensuring tech feasibility and high-quality execution.
- Highly self-driven, motivated, and hands-on problem-solving skills
- Skilled at breaking down complex engineering scopes into milestones and delivering results with consistency and clarity.
Preferred experiences
- Experience working on mobile video editing products
- Experience working on native AI agentic projects or mobile apps
